The deep dark abyss keeps calling me,

An inner peace I see
To descend into the darkness,
Where faith and hope collide,
I peer across the edge,
With no-one by my side
Eager voices encourage me,
Making promises they can't keep,
Each word tempting me,
With the deep and dreamless sleep.
